The customer who finds Thirdwatch Co. is, in our framing, the watchman. Not the entertained — the alert. Not the comfortable — the considered. Someone who has decided, in some quiet moment, that they want to be the person at three in the morning who is still steady.
That decision is unfashionable. Most of culture is asking you to relax, to scroll, to defer the question. The watchman holds the question open. The watchman says: there is a watch to keep, and I will keep it.
We do not think the watchman is a hero. We think the watchman is a servant. And the work we make is for the servant — the shirt you wear quietly, the card on the desk you read every morning, the Bible you open before the day catches you.
If you have ever woken up at the wrong hour and felt that you, of all people in your house or your street or your city, were the one called to be awake — this brand is for you.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
1 Peter 5:8.
The watch is yours.
